Your Vote, Our Future: JHS Manresans Shape Tomorrow by Voting in the MSGSB 2025 Election
JUL 14

On July 15, 2025, Junior High School Manresans exercised their right to vote in the MSGSB 2025 elections. This election provided students with the opportunity to make informed decisions, practice critical thinking, and take responsibility for their civic engagement.
The event was held in the JHS computer laboratories and overseen by the COMELEC which was composed by selected CAT officers, and monitored by the teachers, ensuring that the students comply with election rules and regulations. All the sections were given approximately 15 minutes to cast their votes, a timeframe designed to be efficient and minimize disruption to ongoing classes. After voting, students' attendance was diligently recorded by a COMELEC member. As a final step, a blue ink mark was applied to the voters’ fingers, signifying that they had successfully cast their ballots.
During the voting process, the COMELEC officers observed that the majority of voters had shown a high degree of patience and were obedient in following instructions. Although some minor issues arose, the officers were able to resolve them efficiently with the assistance of the teachers. Overall, the COMELEC officers reported a positive experience, noting that the voting process went orderly and smoothly.
The MSGSB 2025 elections have empowered the students to raise their voice about their decisions and preferences and decisions for leaders who best demonstrated the credentials, leadership skills, and experience necessary to fulfill their roles. Beyond the voters who are not the only ones that had a meaningful experience in this event, the candidates themselves learned valuable lessons and how they can manifest these not only in the academic sphere, but also in the real-world contexts.
The event, held last Tuesday, provided an opportunity for all Junior High School students to practice critical thinking, discernment and civic engagement skills. The MSGSB 2025 election marks the beginning of a new school year filled with hope, service, and transformative change.
After the election, Ms. Maria Caren M. Rodriguez, the JHS MSGSB Adviser, together with Mr. Darrel I. Dela Cruz and Mr. Bryan B. Pragoso, Student Activity Coordinator and Assistant Student Activity Coordinator respectively, officially announced the elected officers of the JHS Manresa School General Student Board (MSGSB) election held on July 15, 2025. They also extend their sincere appreciation to all student candidates who exemplified courage, vision, and the spirit of service throughout the campaign. Likewise, they acknowledged and thanked every student who cast their vote, and for upholding the democratic process and shaping the future leadership of the school. Congratulations to the newly elected JHS MSGSB Officers for the Academic Year 2025–2026.
With the guidance, inspiration and huge support of the school administration and teachers, the successful conduct of the Junior High School student leader elections is a testament to the students' commitment to civic participation and the diligent efforts of all involved. As the newly elected MSGSB officers embark on their term, they face the challenge of translating the student body's trust into tangible progress. Their leadership will be defined by their ability to foster an inclusive environment, address student concerns, and champion initiatives that genuinely serve the best interests of their peers. The path ahead requires not only dedication but also adaptability, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to good governance. Congratulations JHS MSGSB Officers 2025!
