Youth Empowered by Faith: Manresa School Celebrates Youth Day 2025
AUG 08
Parañaque City — On August 8, 2025, the Manresa School General Student Board (MSGSB) successfully organized Manresa Youth Day (MYD) 2025, a vibrant and meaningful celebration held in honor of the Feast Day of St. Candida Maria de Jesus and in line with the Church’s Jubilee Year of Hope.
Held with the theme “Para po!: Reliving familiar streets with hope and harmonious remembrances of Mother Candida with the Youth,” this year’s MYD aimed to celebrate faith, unity, and youth empowerment through shared talents, values, and the legacy of Mother Candida.
The entire student body, from Grade 4 to Grade 12. took part in the event, which was thoughtfully divided into three clusters:
-
Cluster 1: Grades 4–6
-
Cluster 2: Grades 7–9
-
Cluster 3: Grades 10–12
The day began with an opening performance by selected high school students, setting a joyful and energetic tone. This was followed by the Batch Chant, where each batch showcased their creativity, teamwork, and school spirit.
Afterward, students engaged in classroom-based reflection activities, centered on the early life of Little Juanita, the childhood name of St. Candida Maria de Jesus. These moments encouraged students to draw inspiration from her humility, faith, and service. To build camaraderie and teamwork, each cluster participated in team-building games and a lively game show, promoting unity and fun across grade levels. The celebration concluded with a solemn and inspiring Prayer Concert, where the community came together in prayer and praise, ending the day on a note of gratitude and hope.
Through these activities, Manresa Youth Day 2025 not only honored the life and mission of Mother Candida but also brought the Manresan community closer together, celebrating faith, fostering unity, and empowering the youth to carry the light of hope into the world.
