Fostering Safe Spaces and Safeguarding Our Children : Manresa School Strengthens Commitment to Child Protection

To strengthen educators' commitment to creating safe and nurturing learning environments, Manresa School held a meaningful professional development session titled "Safeguarding Our Children: Understanding and Implementing Child Protection Laws in Schools," with Atty. Carlo Artemus V. Diaz as the resource speaker.

The session emphasized that child protection extends beyond responding to cases of abuse—it is about protecting children from prejudicial conditions that may hinder their growth and development. Through legal insights and practical guidance, Atty. Diaz underscored that safeguarding children is a shared responsibility of teachers, school personnel, and the institution as a whole, ensuring that every learner is protected, respected, and provided with an environment where they can grow and flourish.

This meaningful learning experience reflects Manresa School's vision of a discerning community of brothers and sisters committed to developing Christ-centered, globally competent, and self-actualized persons for the good of our neighbor in the service of the Church. By strengthening both individual and institutional accountability in upholding child protection, the school reaffirms its commitment to creating a culture where every child's welfare, dignity, and best interests always come first.

Manresa School extends its heartfelt gratitude to Atty. Carlo Artemus V. Diaz for generously sharing his expertise and to Phoenix Publishing House for sponsoring this meaningful professional development session.

Together, let us continue to uphold our shared responsibility of protecting every child and fostering a school community where all learners can grow, flourish, and reach their fullest potential in a safe and caring environment.
