Building a Safer Campus: Manresa School Conducts Active Threat Response Training
On September 1, 2026, the Manresa School community gathered at the (AVR) for a Professional Development Session centered on School Safety and Active Threat Response Training. The event brought together faculty, administrative staff, student leaders, and campus security personnel to foster a shared responsibility for a secure, compassionate, and resilient learning environment.
The seminar featured guest speaker PMAJ Dennis B. Velasco, Chief of SWAT/TMRU, who shared tactical expertise and practical insights tailored to an academic environment. PMAJ Velasco emphasized that campus security requires situational awareness and clear, practiced response protocols from every member of the school community.
