Manresa School Gift-Giving Activity at St. Candida Parish, Naic, Cavite

Last December 1, 2024, the school’s outreach office, along with volunteers and the FI Sisters, distributed Noche Buena packages to fifty (50) parishioners at St. Candida Parish in Naic, Cavite. These recipients were selected based on their significant needs and active parish community participation. Among them were parish workers, members of various parish organizations such as altar servers, lay ministers, lectors, commentators, BEC members, catechists, volunteers, and other devoted parishioners.

This pre-Christmas gift-giving activity in Santa Candida Parish is the first of several communities that the outreach office identified as beneficiaries of the recently concluded Manresa School Christmas Fund Drive. The Noche Buena package includes a variety of items such as spaghetti noodles with sauce, elbow macaroni, condensed milk, evaporated milk, all-purpose cream, cheese, juice, mayonnaise, fruit cocktail, corned beef, meatloaf, and sugar which are complete and perfect for celebrating Noche Buena for the recipients. The profound generosity of our students, parents, teachers, and staff made this activity possible that truly embodies the school’s maxim, “Tatak Manresa, Kapatid sa Kapwa.

In addition to distributing the Noche Buena packages, the FI Sisters led by Sr. Marianita Tenoso, F.I., held a vocation talk for young female college students and professionals. This session aimed to inform participants about serving God through various vocations. The meaningful activity concluded with a delicious lunch prepared by the parish through their parish priest, Fr. Mayolene Joseph Mayola.

May this gift-giving activity bring good joy, happiness, good news and glad tidings to the faithful people of God and serve as a tangible reminder of the special gift that God had given us -- His very own Son, Jesus Christ.
