Reflection on “Dugong Alay, Karugtong ay Buhay - Year 2” MS Bloodletting Drive
OCT 18
The “Dugong Alay, Karugtong ay Buhay - Year 2” Bloodletting Drive, held on October 18 at the Senior High School Clinic, marked a meaningful celebration of Mission Month 2025. Spearheaded by the Manresa Parents Auxiliary. and the Pastoral Ministry Office, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross – Parañaque Chapter, the event reflected the collective strength and spirit of the Manresa community in pursuing a shared mission.
Parents, teachers, staff, alumni, and relatives rolled up their sleeves to give a part of themselves for others, a true Tatak Manresa in action: faith that moves us to serve, and love that reaches beyond ourselves.

With 79 online registrants and 36 successful donors, each donation became a vessel of hope and healing for those in need. As recent calamities increased the demand for blood in local hospitals, each donation served as a timely and meaningful act of compassion and hope.
Watching people come in, some a little nervous at first but smiling afterward, was a beautiful reminder that compassion doesn’t always require grand gestures. Sometimes, it’s as simple as saying “yes” and trusting that your small act can save a life.
Reflecting on the experience brings to mind the words of St. Candida Maria de Jesús: “Where there is no room for the poor, there is no room for me.” In giving a piece of ourselves, we made room for others in need of healing, comfort, and hope.
Truly, Dugong Alay, Karugtong ay Buhay showed us that when we give from the heart, life flows abundantly.
