Faith, Joy, and Unity: The Spirit of Christmas in the Manresa School Community
The Manresa School community gathered in faith as the Christmas Para-liturgy marked the beginning of
the holiday festivity. Organized by the School Pastoral Team, the para-liturgy brought together students,
teachers, and staff in a moment of prayer and reflection to formally open the Christmas season.
The para-liturgy featured invocations and readings led by Emilio I. Gilladoga (10-Generosity) and Myreen Joelle P. Patrimonio (9-Temperance), following a simple yet meaningful flow that allowed the
community to participate actively. The guidance of the Pastoral Team helped create a solemn and
respectful atmosphere, while the readings invited everyone to reflect on the significance of the season.
Together, they created a sacred space for the community to pause, reflect, and begin the celebration in a
prayerful manner.
Following the para-liturgy, the celebration proceeded within the homerooms, where a range of holiday
activities offered students opportunities for interaction and collaboration. Interactive games and group
challenges encouraged student engagement, strengthened camaraderie, and further enhanced the sense of
community.
Overall, the Manresa School Christmas celebration transitioned from a solemn opening to a joyful
conclusion. Beginning with the Christmas Para-liturgy that gathered the entire community in faith, the
event then shifted into lively homeroom celebrations filled with games and shared moments among
classmates. From the opening prayers to the final classroom activities, the celebration captured the spirit
of the season and provided students with a meaningful way to welcome Christmas together.
