From Curiosity to Conclusion: Grade 10 Students Present Final Research Defense
On March 16, 2026, after months of planning, collaboration, and late-night revisions, the Grade 10 students concluded their academic research journey with their final oral defense for their English-Araling Panlipunan research projects.
The day began with a moment of reflection as Ms. Irish Nicole M. Arcanillo led the opening prayer, followed by the introduction of panelists by Ms. Abegail D. Bodopol and Ms. Rhea Mae R. Maluya. The opening sequence set a focused and supportive tone for the students, who had spent weeks preparing for this pivotal moment.
During the defense, each group presented their research, walking the panelists through their processes, from selecting themes to analyzing data and drawing conclusions. As students shared their findings, it became clear that their presentations reflected not only the depth of their studies but also the teamwork, dedication, and resilience that went into completing each project.
The Q&A session that followed tested students’ critical thinking and communication skills. Panelists asked probing questions, giving students the chance to clarify methods, defend conclusions, and engage in thoughtful academic discussion. For many, it was both a challenging and rewarding experience, demonstrating how much they had grown as young researchers.
By the end of the day, the students’ hard work and perseverance were fully recognized. The final defense not only marked the completion of their research projects but also served as a meaningful milestone in their academic journey, preparing them for future challenges and opportunities in higher-level research and beyond.
