Manresa School Holds Three-Day Strategic Planning Session

In its continuous pursuit of academic excellence and holistic formation, Manresa School successfully conducted its three-day Strategic Planning session from June 16 to 18, 2026. Facilitated by Mr. Eleazar Solas, Quality Assurance In-Charge, the planning session brought together the school’s strategic planning members and administrators.

This year’s session was anchored on the inspiring theme: "Rooted in Filiation-Fraternity: Witnesses of Hope and Joy for a More Humane and Just World". The event aimed to review previous milestones and deliberately map out the school’s direction for the next three years.

The three -day event commenced with an opening prayer led by Mr. Patrick Bugay, setting a collaborative and reflective tone for the sessions. To lay the groundwork, Mr. Eleazar Solas provided an overview of the 2022 Strategic Plans, which was immediately followed by a comprehensive Evaluation Report delivered by the Startegic Planning committee heads consisting of Mr. Jojit Ledesma, Mr. Bryan Pragoso, Mr. Ariel Cañete, Mr. Justine Magtibay, and Ms. Luisa Mandario. Through structured group reflections, the participants assessed the extent to which past objectives were achieved and identified key tangible outcomes that must be sustained.

A critical phase of the program involved a thorough Environmental Scanning to ensure the new plan remains responsive to contemporary needs. For the internal factors, departmental reports were presented by Ms. Yolanda Cruz for the Grade School, Mr. Jojit Ledesma for the Junior High School, and Mr. Emson Petilla for the Senior High School. This was paired with external factors and insights shared by Mr. Edizon Zamora and Ms. Rebecca Veloso. Finally, to capture the global and congregational context, the members viewed a video presentation on the Global Compact on Education and listened to updates on the Movement in the Congregation, which were discussed by Sr. Normida Marquez, FI.

Guided by a plenary reflection on whether to maintain or expand the school's five Key Result Areas (KRAs), the participants shifted into intensive group workshops divided by departments—Grade School, Junior High School, Senior High School, and Office Heads. A special committee faithfully collated, synthesized, and presented the objectives for final approval.

Proving that strategic planning is an inclusive journey, the school noted that on another occasion, this consultation process will extend to parents and students. Their vital insights and suggestions will be gathered to help further shape and enrich Manresa School's future direction. With a clear roadmap, aligned KRAs, and a renewed commitment to its mission as a Hijas de Jesus institution, Manresa School moves forward into the next three years ready to be true witnesses of hope, joy, and fraternity in the community.
