Bringing Hope, Joy, and Health: Grade School Department Kicks Off Nutrition Month 2026!
The Grade School Department officially launched its highly anticipated Nutrition Month 2026 celebration yesterday, July 14, setting off a month-long journey dedicated to health, community, and shared joy.
This year’s celebration centers around the powerful theme: "Rooted in Fraternity, United in Nutrition: Working Together to Bring Hope, Joy, and Health for A More Humane and Just World." The theme highlights how nourishing our bodies goes hand-in-hand with nourishing our relationships and communities, proving that healthy choices can help build a more compassionate world.
Led by overall Nutrition Month Chairperson Mr. John Mark S. Arsenio, the kickoff assembly transformed the school gym into a colorful showcase of student creativity, interactive learning, and energetic movement.
The most eye-catching highlight of the launch was the sea of custom-crafted "Healthy Hats" worn by the pupils. Adorned with simulated fruits, vegetables, and other nutritious food representations, these vibrant headdresses are far more than just art projects. Students will wear them daily throughout the month to serve as interactive name tags and continuous visual reminders of healthy eating habits.
The launch wasn't just a visual feast; it got everyone moving and thinking.
The Physical Education (PE) Area officially introduced the Nutri-Groove Daily Wellness Dance. Led by the faculty, the entire gym joined in an energetic dance routine designed to foster a shared commitment to physical fitness.
During the assembly, five tricky riddles about nutritious foods were displayed via PowerPoint. Representing their respective grade levels, selected students stepped up to crack the codes. Correct answers were rewarded with special prizes, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats and cheering for their peers.
With a month of daily dances, proud display of healthy hats, and other ongoing nutrition month activities, the Grade School Department is well on its way to building a healthier, more united, and joyful community.
