Building a Strong Foundation: Inservice Training Inspires Teamwork and Preparation for the New School Year

The Grade School Principal, Sr. Edhen Mae R. Paranga, F.I. facilitated the first day of In-service training for grade school teachers. The agenda focused on teamwork, collaboration, and curriculum preparation. The day began with an opening song followed by a Gospel reading. After the solemn prayer, Sr. Edhen warmly welcomed the teachers, acknowledging their dedication and commitment. In her opening remarks, Sr. Edhen presented a short, impactful video highlighting the importance of working together. Teamwork and collaboration are essential, especially amidst the challenges teachers may face. The video served as a powerful reminder that every effort made by the teachers is for the benefit of their common children.

After the video, several teachers were invited to share their insights. Their reflections mostly focused on the significance of unity and mutual support, emphasizing that when teachers work together, they create a more effective and nurturing learning environment for their students.

Following the reflections, Sr. Edhen led an insightful discussion about the Matatag Curriculum. The discussion sparked a lively exchange among the teachers. While acknowledging the challenges of adjusting to a new curriculum, the teachers expressed determination and a readiness to embrace the changes positively.

The In-service training sessions continue until the last week of July. Each subject area is assigned to lead the assembly every morning before they continue with their academic work.

As the teachers prepare for the new school year, they have renewed inspiration and a shared vision. The grade school teachers are ready to face the challenges ahead, united in their mission to provide the best possible education for their students. Surely, these trainings have not only equipped the teachers with new knowledge and strategies but also strengthened their sense of community and purpose.
