Manresa School Pastoral Team Kicks Off July 1

Thirteen members of the Pastoral Ministry Team this school year 2024-2025 had their first general meeting with Sr. Joji Silorio, F.I., the school’s RCA at the Pastoral Office on a sunny afternoon of July 1, 2024 from 2:30-4:00 pm. After a beautiful video for the Opening Prayer prepared by Sr. Joji on “SHEMA”, a Hebrew word for “listening” or “to listen”, Mr. Archee Curiba, the Pastoral Team Head, welcomed the old and new members of the team composed of 6 lay educators, parent couple volunteers and 4 Hijas de Jesus sisters.

The members of the team are: Ms. Marites Llorando, Ms. Jenny Auditor, Ms. Concepcion Villagracia, Mr. Dan Mark Geronimo, Mr. Ariel Canete, Mr. Arman Tinay, Mrs. Roehlyn and Dr. Lemuel Del Rosario (parent-volunteers), Sr. Cecilia Sequio, F.I., Sr. Pacita Legaspi, F.I., Sr. Normida Marquez, F.I., and. Sr. Marianita Tenoso, F.I.

Since there are many new members this year, Mr. Curiba led the group for a short individual introduction about their work, gifts, and talents that they can share as members of the Pastoral Ministry. He then gave a slideshow orientation on the rationale, meaning, objectives, and work of the Pastoral Ministry office.

Mr. Curiba emphasized that the Pastoral Ministry is a service offered by the school to address the needs of the students, employees, and parents in matters that affect their growth as Christians. As pastoral ministers, “we are to facilitate the experience of God where we are called and challenged to recognize the presence of Christ in each person.”

Six evangelizing functions are being done by the team every year in order to create an atmosphere that facilitates the deepening of one’s relationship with Christ as well as build an educative community centered on Him. These functions include Pastoral Accompaniment for Students and Employees, Pastoral Animation, Pastoral Formation-Organization, Family Ministry, Youth Ministry, and Vocation Ministry.

Mr. Curiba also introduced the new parent couple-volunteers, Dr. Lemuel and Mrs. Roehlyn Del Rosario, who inspired everyone with their infectious enthusiasm to work with the team.
