Manresan Educators Spread Love and Hope: An Inspiring Visit to Cancer Patients at PGH

On the afternoon of March 8, 2025, the teachers and staff of Manresa School dedicated their time to visiting cancer patients at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH). Their visit was not just an act of charity but a heartfelt mission to bring hope and joy to those undergoing treatment.

Upon arriving at PGH, the group was warmly welcomed by Fr. Eli Rowdy Lumbo, SJ, the chaplain priest, and Sr. Joy, whose gracious hospitality set the tone for a meaningful and compassionate visit. The teachers and staff personally delivered their donations, which included essential supplies, nutritious food, and heartfelt messages of encouragement from the Manresa School community.

One of the highlights of the visit was a short talk and sharing session, where the teachers and staff engaged with the patients, offering words of comfort and prayers for healing. The exchange of stories and experiences fostered a deep sense of connection, reminding everyone of the power of faith and community in times of struggle.

The group also had the privilege of interacting with children who had successfully defeated cancer and were on their way to full recovery. These young warriors shared their inspiring journeys, demonstrating incredible strength and resilience. The teachers and staff were deeply moved by their stories and celebrated their victories, reinforcing the message that hope and perseverance can overcome even the toughest battles.

Through this visit, the grade school teachers and staff not only provided material support but also shared the gift of presence and encouragement. Their dedication to service and compassion embodies the true spirit of Christian love and solidarity, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of those they touched that day.
