Grade 10 Best Research Awardees Take the Stage at Manresa School Completion Ceremony 2026
During the 12th Junior High School Completion Ceremony held on April 14, 2026, at the school auditorium, Manresa School recognized outstanding student research through special awards for the best Science Investigatory Project (SIP) and Qualitative Research papers in English and Araling Panlipunan.
These research outputs, developed over the course of the academic year, showcased the students’ ability to go beyond the classroom—applying their knowledge to real-world problems, exploring relevant social issues, and demonstrating their potential to contribute to both school and community.
The awarding began with the Best Science Investigatory Project, the Grade 10 Science performance task centered on quantitative research and experiments.
Among the recognized studies was “Hanggang Saan Ang Tibay?: A Comparative Study on Traditional and Rice Husk Ash-Modified Concrete Hollow Blocks for Flood-Prone Areas” by Cassandra Dominique C. Aguilar, Ma. Louis Vittoria R. Cruz, Danielle Michiko R. De Leon, Laurelle Marie M. Dela Cruz, Lorenzo Nathaniel G. Detera, Jazmine Raine D.R Figueroa, and Martina Isabelle B. Puzon.
This was followed by “Development of ARTHUR: An Automated Real-Time Tracking and Holding Unit Refined for Manresa School” by Koriene Callista V. Akiate, Alexa Marie U. Alegado, Maya A. Bernardino, Jon Lucas N. Cano, Giuliana Beatrice S. Gaba, Reese Abcd I. Laus, and Jean Zachary A. Orbase.
The final award in this category was given to “Development of an Automated AI Behavior Pattern RFID-Based Turnstile with Parental Notification System for Gate 14 of Manresa School” by Aiden Caleb S. Mallillin, Czeben C. Jr. Lim, Adriel Joaquin E. Aragon, Enzo Gunayon, Chisdale Anne Vinluan, and Chealsea Camille H. Tumulak.
The ceremony then proceeded to the Outstanding Qualitative Research awards, a combined Araling Panlipunan and English performance task focused on social inquiry and student-selected topics.
The first study recognized was “After the Uniform: A Qualitative Study on the Impact of Long-Term School-Based Spiritual Activities Experienced During Student Years on the Spiritual Growth and Identity of Manresa School Alumni” by Sabina Louise F. Alejandro, Merli Anne A. Alviar, Ralph Carag, Beyonce P. De Jesus, Jose Lucas Isaiah R. Flores, Elisha Laurice C. Fuentes, and Denise Marie C. Kintanar.
This was followed by “Ang Tanging Tagapagmana: A Qualitative Study on How Financial Inequality and Being an Only Child Shape Aspirations of Youth within Parañaque” by Gabriel Angelo D. Cariaga, Ava Francesca M. De Guzman, Careen Gayle V. Garcia, Dionne Marie B. Inciong, Clark Steven C. Mayllo, Isabelle Angela C. Rapusas, and Nathan G. Pan.
Also recognized was “The Room is Quiet, the Screen is Loud: Pakikipagkapwa in the Digital Age Among Generation X and Generation Z” by Cassandra Dominique C. Aguilar, Cassandra Kate E. Cosue, Armin Mikel B. Pineda, Jazmine Raine D.R Figueroa, Marie Antoinette J. Manlapaz, Leeanne Emilia N. Rivera, and Richlynn Joanne C. Tan.
The final awardee in this category was “Shifting Paths: Exploring the Reasons Behind Junior High School Students Transferring to the ‘Big Four’ in the Philippines” by Lara De Lara, Emilio I. Gilladoga, Carmela V. Miguel, Joaquin Inigo T. Ordóñez, Rianne Li M. Philips, and Jada Sabine J. Servita.
Through these research initiatives, the Grade 10 students demonstrated not only academic excellence but also a growing awareness of real-world issues—reflecting their readiness to think critically, act purposefully, and contribute meaningfully beyond the classroom.
